Seven Junior High band students have been selected for District Honor Band:
Hannah May - Flute
Darbi Rouse - Oboe
Zach May - Trumpet
Baron Green - Trumpet
Elizabeth Nedland - French Horn
Matthew Helm - Trombone
Matt Glading - Baritone
To be selected for honor band, the students had to learn the audition piece and then send in a recording, which competes against all the other Junior High schools in the Northwest district.
These seven students will go to Hays on November 1 to rehearse all day and then give a concert that afternoon.
"The Junior High worked really hard to learn their the audition piece and make it into District Honor Band," said band instructor Sarah Bricker.
