February was a very busy month for Mrs. Steinmetz's kindergarten class.  We started out with a special person being Star of the Week each week, celebrating Groundhog Day, Abe Lincoln and George Washington's birthdays and Valentine's Day.  March is starting out just as busy!   As well as continuing with Star of the Week, we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday yesterday.  Our theme was Old MacDonald's AEIOU Farm.  We made a great farm and everyone  brought their favorite piece of farm equipment or farm animal. Our room read over 2,000 pages yesterday!  We also planted grass in Easter cups and hope to be able to hide jelly beans in them at Easter!  Our Easter egg hunt will be next Friday.  We will finish Animated Literacy this week and start reading short vowel Starfall books next week.  In math we finished with our addition chapter last week and we started subtraction this week!  School is fun and busy!!!
