My name is Marlene Moxter, and I have taught at Decatur Community Jr-Sr High School for 32 years. I grew up in Cawker City, Kansas where my father farmed and my mother taught school for 38 years, 28 of them in kindergarten. I have one brother and one sister, both live in Hays.
I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a degree in Home Economics Education. We now call Home Economics Family and Consumer Science. I am still teaching FACS classes, but I am also currently teaching World Geography. I have also taught Kansas History and Study Skills during my years at DCJSHS.
When I have spare time I like to read, knit, sew, and cook. I would like to improve my gardening skills.
