Fourth Grade Line Graphs

In social studies the fourth graders have been studying the south region of the United States. We also have been making line graphs in math class.
For our project we were assigned to compare temperature or precipitation of Oberlin to a city from the south region with the use of line graphs. First, each student selected a city from the south region and whether he or she wanted to compare temperature or precipitation. Next, we used our laptops to research our selections on www.weatherbase.com. On the web site we were able to get information on the city we selected and Oberlin. We then started to make our line graphs using the information found on the web site. We made sure our line graphs had a title, labels, and used correct scale and intervals. Last, we entered information onto our line graphs.
The line graphs were interesting to see how Oberlin compared to other cities found in the south region.
Come by our room to check out our line graphs!
