At the State Wrestling Tournament, Coach Joe Dreher was selected the 2010 Sportsmanship Coach of the Year Award.

"It's a real honor being selected from all the other coaches," Coach Dreher said.

Every year the Kansas Association of Wrestling Officials vote for the coach that shows the best sportsmanship all year long. The officials get together and vote on the coach that shows the best sportsmanship. They choose coaches for each of four classes:  6A, 5A, 4A, and 3-2-1A.

Joe Dreher has been coaching wrestling for 15 years. In high school he played basketball his freshman year, but then wrestled the rest of his high school career. He won state his sophomore and senior year, and got second his  junior year.

In college he wrestled four years. He wrestled two years at Labette Community College and two years at Fort Hays State University. At Fort Hays he was an All-American.

He has been dedicated to wrestling most of his life, and it's a real honor for him to be chosen.
