Jr. High Football team wins first game of the season

The Jr. High Red Devils defeated the St. Francis Indians in the season opener 28-0.
Kaine Fredrickson scored first on a 20-yard run, which was set up by Gabe Anderson's run of 42 yards. Kelden Breth connected with Noah Nelson on a pass for the 2-point conversion.
With two seconds before half-time, Rex Diederich ran it in for a score from 22 yards. The 2-point conversion failed.
Oberlin led 14-0 at the half.
The opening kickoff of the second half, the young Devils struck again when Troy Juenemann took it 74 yards to the end zone with some nice down field blocking. Kelden ran in the 2-point conversion.
The Red Devils' final score came on a 1-yard run by Rex. The 2-point conversion failed.
"The offensive line did a good job," said Coach Joe Dreher. "and the defense played great the whole game."
The next game for the Junior Devils is Sept. 9 against Plainville.
