The Junior High Red Devils won their second game of the season by defeating the Plainville Cardinals 32-0 on Thursday, Sept. 9
The young Devils scored on their opening drive when Kelden Breth ran it in from 1 yard out. Kelden then ran in the 2-point conversion on an option play.
Rex Diederich scored next on a 16-yard run, which was set up on a blocked punt by Ganon Henningson. The 2-point conversion failed.
The third score occurred as the first half expired when Noah Nelson ran it in from 5 yards out. The 2-point conversion failed.
In the 3rd quarter, Gabe Anderson scored on a 1 yard run, which was set up by Troy Juenemann's 36-yard punt return. Again, the 2-point conversion failed.
The final touchdown was a 10-yard pass from Kelden to Noah. The 2-point conversion failed.
"Offensively, we didn't play the best," said Coach Joe Dreher, "but we put points on the board. The defense did a great job again, getting another shut out."
The next game for the Junior High Devils is Thursday, Sept. 16 in Benkelman, NE. Game time is 4:00 p.m.
