Three win Best of Show

Three Oberlin art students won Best of Show at the Northwest Kansas League Art Show held last week in St. Francis.  Winning the top award were Alana Meitl, Blake Garner, and Jude Stiner.

Alana’s piece was a pastel, and both Blake’s and Jude’s were mixed media. Blake used glue and pastels, and Jude used crayon and watercolor.

Eighteen Oberlin Elementary students earned blue ribbons at the art show: Braedyn Lantz, Gracie Domingo, Chevy Davis, Aeiah Gonzales, Karin Molina, Talulah Woolsey, Damien Crissman, Kyra Sowers, Lizzy Weyenth, Noah Baker, Ryllie Lippelmann, Jessiah McDougal, Michaela Wasson, Karlee McCluskey, Katrina Neal, Dani Weyeneth. Weston Barnes and Trennedy Woolsey both earned two blue ribbons.

Seventh graders earning blue ribbons were Ellie Anderson, Alana Bishop, Lukas Diederich, Breyana Gehring, Olivia Hughes, Eli McCluskey, Lacey Quintana, and Avery Witt. Josh Juenemann earned two blue ribbons.

Kensey Garrett received four blue ribbons, and Brittney Wesley, three. Others winning blue ribbons at the high school were Melody Koerperich, Bethany Mason, Chelsea McCarty, Katie Meitl, Dani Rouse, Stacia Russ, Alissa Sporn, and Ravyn Van Vleet.
