7th graders perform episodes of "The Twilight Zone"

May 12, 2019

The 7th grade English classes presented two classic episodes of The Twilight Zone for Open House on Monday, May 6.

The 1st period class presented "Monsters are Due on Maple Street" about a sudden, strange occurrence that sends the residents of an otherwise peaceful neighborhood in panic and chaos.

The 5th period class presented "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet." Unlike the original version where a man (Star Trek's William Shatner) goes crazy after seeing a gremlin on the wing of a plane during a thunderstorm, the stage version featured a woman (Rayne Erickson) as the crazy person.

The students rehearsed for two weeks before they presented the skits. The episodes were adapted for the stage by Mr. Wendelin.

The sound quality of "Nightmare" is not the best, so you may have to turn up your speakers to hear the quieter dialogue, but turn them down if it gets too loud.
