Welcome to Mrs. Breth's Home Page
|Lesson Plans - April 24-28||
|Subjects: Senior English and Journalism
Biographical Information: My husband, Tim, and I have three sons: Kyle, Kelden, and Kole. Kyle and Kelden graduated from DCHS and now attend Fort Hays State University (my alma mater!). Kole is a junior this year, and Tim teaches math and coaches track at DCHS. My family's latest edition is Eskie, our miniature Australian shepherd. (Eskie is named after my favorite KC Royal - Alcides Escobar.)
I grew up in Hanover, where my mom and dad still own and operate a weekly newspaper. They work side by side and will celebrate their 50th year at the Hanover News later in August. (I learned my work ethics from my parents!) I have four sisters and one brother, as well as 12 nieces and nephews and 12 greats (with two more on the way!), all whom I love to spoil and spend time with. Next to "Mom," my favorite title is Aunt B.
My hobbies include spending time with my big family, reading, writing, watching movies, taking pictures, and scrapbooking. I also enjoy watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, as well as my sons' and my students' activities.
I've spent my entire teaching career at DCHS. There is no place I would rather be!
Education: I have degrees in English and journalism from Fort Hays State University and master's degrees from Emporia State University in counseling and education administration.
Responsibilities: 7-12 Counselor, Senior English teacher, Journalism teacher, Yearbook adviser, District web site manager, Student Council sponsor, Senior Class sponsor, PDC chairperson, DCHS Site Council
