Reading and beautiful weather – what a great combination! The OES students are enjoying the book “Leaves” on our “StoryWalk” at the OES playground.
In cooperation with the Northwest Kansas Library and Oberlin Public Library we are sponsoring a “StoryWalk” on the playground. Each page is in a Plexiglas enclosure. The book – “Leaves” by David Ezra Stein, begins near the ‘Buddy Rock’. Follow the enclosures around the playground reading the front and back of each enclosure to find out about Bear’s first autumn!!
We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity to combine reading, exercise and experiencing our fall weather, by going on our “StoryWalk”
Please do not climb or push against the signs, as we have borrowed them from the NWKLS. We will need to return the story in a couple of weeks. Have fun reading Bear’s story!!
The Student Council and the sophomores are selling magazines, cookie dough, and gift items. Stuco is raising funds for their STARS program, which is a new program to recognize students for their grades. Sophomores are raising money for their prom next year.
