Rayne Erickson is selected for her fourth year of KCDA
Freshman Rayne Erickson was selected for her fourth year (out of a possible five) to be in the state Kansas Choral Directors' Association treble honor choir. The choir this year consists of seventy 5th through 9th graders from across the state. Typically, the choir consists of around 230 singers.
In the past, the choir has clinics and a performance in Wichita the last weekend of February at the Kansas State Music Educators' Association conference. However this year, they had two Zoom clinics with the clinician to produce high quality recordings, and a group of KMEA technicians lined up audio and video and produced their performance digitally.
"I have loved and been so honored to be selected the years I was for KCDA. I sang with some amazing conductors and kids, and I learned so many things I can use for my singing in the future," Rayne said.
Congratulations to Rayne for being selected for this honor group for her last time.
