Results of the 2023 Regional Music Festival

CONGRATULATIONS, DCHS MUSIC STUDENTS and TEACHERS!

Twelve DCHS soloists (13 solos) and two ensembles qualified for State Music, which is Saturday, April 29 at Hesston College. To qualify for state, students had to earn a I rating at Regionals, which was Saturday, April 15 in Oberlin.

Instrumental soloists who qualified for state are Theo Butterfield (French horn), Jack Holloway (baritone sax), Cheyanna Hale (clarinet), Josh Starnes (bass clarinet), and Michaela Wasson (flute.)

Vocal soloists headed to state are Josh Juenemann, Addison Mathews, Ellie Anderson, Weston Barnes, Olivia Williby, Bryant Addleman, Emma Holloway, and Michaela Wasson.

The DCHS Singers and the Women’s Ensembles also earned I’s at Regionals and are headed to state.

The DCHS music teachers are Brad Persinger, instrumental, and Lisa Johnson, vocal. The students' accompanists are Jenny Tally and Elisabeth Counter.
