Decatur Community,
We are extremely excited to offer Driver's Education as a class this year. Courses will be one semester in length and will be offered both 1st and 2nd semesters. High school students will receive elective credit for the course. Please look over the criteria below:
1st Semester Enrollment Criteria:1. Must have completed the 8th Grade
2. Age 14 and older by August 21st, 2023
3. There will be a parent meeting prior at the beginning of the year, each student will need to fill out a DE 99 and be able to pass a vision screening.
4. The course will cost $75.
**2nd Semester we may look at possibly allowing 8th grade students who have turned 14 years of age on or before January 3rd, 2024.
We are in the planning phase and need to know how many students are interested. If you are interested in enrolling your student in Driver's Ed. for the upcoming year, please reach out to me so that we can try to fit the course into your student's schedule.
