DCHS Students collected 567 items for the Oberlin food pantry. The seniors won the class competition, followed by the sophomores.
Thank you to all of the students who contributed food items and cleaning supplies and to the 7th and 8th graders and Mr. Hardwick who helped transport everything to the pantry.
Thank you also to Breyana Gehring, Gabbie Vontz, and Kamryn Oien for counting all of the items.

DCHS cheerleaders and their coach, Libby Fort, planned a fun pep assembly on Friday, Oct. 21 - right before Senior Night for the football team, Sub-State for the volleyball team, and Regionals for cross country.
Principal Holloway presented head junior high football coach, Gannon Reichert, with a plaque to honor the junior high football team's undefeated season. Mr. Reichert then recognized the undefeated 2022 NWKL Champions.
Senior football players (Teague, Bryant, Franklin, Gavin, and Josh) and volleyball players (Gabbie and Breyana) spoke to the crowd, and digital media teacher Wendy Scott showed the football video produced by Kamryn Oien, Shakira Cook, Terence Wahrman, and Olivia Williby.
The highlight of the assembly was the school song as performed by the DCHS cheerleaders with a little help from a few teachers -- Mrs. Scott, Mr. Persinger, Mrs. Springer, Mr. Holloway, Mr. Ketterl, Miss Davis, Mr. Reichert, Mrs. Scott, and Mrs. Johnson.
(Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Mr. Reichert's kick!)

So proud of this girl! She ended her cross country season today at Regionals with a PR! Way to go, Shakira!

Awesome concert, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Tally, and DCHS vocal students!

NWKL Champions!

Congratulations to Breyana Gehring for being selected to the NWKL-WKLL All-Tournament team at yesterday’s tournament! 👏🏻 We are very proud of you! 🤩

The DCHS art portfolio students had an awesome field trip! We had many different stops and I was proud of the way the students acted! They were engaged and intrigued by the content that each stop provided. The first pit stop was to see the Cyclone sculpture in Codell, that was made by Toby Flores and the FHSU sculpture crew! Secondly we had pancakes and s’more in Paradise provided by my Dad and Lori❤️. Then we found Waldo, and made our way to Lucus where we toured the Grassroots art center, The Garden of Eden, Pilar’s doll house and the Bowl Plaza. On our way to Hays we went to Wilson and gandered at the Giant Czechoslovakian egg! Once we got to Hays Toby gave the students a tour of the whole art dept!
It was an awesome day! Nice to get out of the classroom and get reinsured to do cool things!
